The Forum on the Right of Access to Information (Concept and Practice), organized by the “Ethical charter for Syrian media”, concluded on Tuesday evening at the NOVOTEL Hotel in Gaziantep, Turkey.

A number of journalists from various Syrian media attended the forum, as well as representatives of civil society organizations.

The trainer, Dr. Mona Magdy Abdel-Maksoud, an assistant professor at the Faculty of Mass Communication at Cairo University, discussed with the audience the right to obtain and circulate information for journalists, Mr. Ibrahim Al-Hussein, director of the Syrian Center for Journalistic Freedoms, and Mr. Ihab Salam, from Egypt, participated in the forum, to clarify the legal framework for this right, the limits of practice and exceptions.

Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of ” Ethical Charter for Syrian Media”, Ghosoun Abu al-Dhahab, discussed with the attendees the mechanism of the complaints system introduced by “ECSM”, as one of the tools for providing information.
